Victoria's largest waterfall by volume drops into a deep sandstone gorge in the Grampians, reached by a steep staircase of more than 200 steps down to a base viewing platform. A longer loop trail links it to Broken Falls further upstream for a half-day circuit.

MacKenzie Falls drops 30 metres (98 ft) on the MacKenzie, inside Grampians National Park. It is a plunge-type fall, and the nearest base for a visit is Halls Gap, with MEL the closest airport. Access to the main viewpoint is rated moderate.
As a plunge waterfall, water leaves the rock entirely and falls free through the air.
