Chitrakoot Falls
Often nicknamed the Niagara of India, this broad horseshoe curtain on the Indravati River sits in one of the country remoter tribal regions of Chhattisgarh, far from the usual tourist circuits. Its shape and width genuinely echo Niagara, though at a fraction of the scale.

Chitrakoot Falls drops 29 metres (95 ft) across a face roughly 300 metres wide on the Indravati. It is a block-type fall, and the nearest base for a visit is Jagdalpur, with JGB the closest airport. Access to the main viewpoint is rated easy.
