Waterfalls in Venezuela
7 waterfalls, from Angel Falls to Cascada del Vino — at their best June to September.
Venezuela has 7 waterfalls in our index, including Angel Falls, inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tallest is Angel Falls at 979 metres. Most are cascade waterfalls. Taken together, they are at their best June to September.
Angel Falls. Water leaves the flat top of Auyán-tepui and falls so far that much of it atomizes into mist before ever reaching the pool below, a journey longer than the height of most skyscrapers stacked twice over. Only reachable by light aircraft to Canaima and then a dugout canoe up the Río Carrao.
Yutaje Falls. The Yutaje Falls is the second-highest waterfall in Venezuela. It is approx. 2,345 ft in height.
Cuquenan Falls. Kukenan Falls is the second tallest major waterfall in Venezuela after Angel Falls. It is also the second tallest free-leaping waterfall in the world.
